Dimethylbenzyl acetate is a colorless, oil-like transparent liquid, with flower, fruit sweet fragrance. Melting point 29~30℃, boiling point 250℃, flash point 100℃ above, acid value <1.0, refraction 1.4910 ~ 1.4950, density 0.998, refractive index 1.4925 Specific gravity: 0.955 ~ 1.002 Solidified at room temperature. Soluble in ethanol, most non-volatile oils and mineral oils, slightly soluble in propylene glycol, insoluble in glycerol and water.

Use:

1. Gb2760-96 is a permitted edible spice. Mainly used to prepare pear, cherry, strawberry and other fruit flavor.
