Physical and chemical properties:

Soluble in boiling water and 98% acetic acid, slightly soluble in ethanol, insoluble in ether and butyric acid. Creatinine is obtained by interaction with inorganic acid, methylamine is obtained by co-heating with alkali lime, ammonia is obtained by azeotrope with potassium hydroxide, and formidine oxalic acid and guanidine are obtained by interaction with potassium permanganate. 2. Creatine monohydrate is obtained by the reaction of cyanamide with chloroacetic acid and methylamine.
3. Thiourea and dimethyl sulfate are used as raw materials to produce S-methylisothiourea sulfate, which is then reacted with sarcosine, sodium sarcosine or potassium sarcosine to creatine.
4. Using urea and dimethyl sulfate as raw materials to produce O-methylisourea sulfate, o-methylisourea sulfate reacts with sodium sarcosine to produce creatine monohydrate.
