Introduction:

Allyl caproate is also called bromelaldehyde, also known as bromelinaldehyde, nonadecal, colorless to slightly yellow transparent liquid, with a strong pineapple like fruit aroma, and a rum like flavor, natural products exist in pineapple and so on. Bromelaldehyde is recognized as GRAS by FEMA,FEMA number 2032, and approved by FDA for consumption, China's GB2760-1996 provisions for the temporary permitted use of edible spices, widely used in the allocation of pineapple, apple, apricot, peach, sweet orange, strawberry and other fruit flavor, as well as rum wine and liquor flavor.

Application:

1, allyl caproate can be widely used in the preparation of food and tobacco flavor, especially the preparation of pineapple and other fruit flavor, but also used in artificial flower essential oil blending agent.

2, it can also be used to prepare pineapple, apple, apricot, peach, orange, strawberry and other edible flavor and wine flavor; Can also be used in brandy, wood fragrance, cologne and other daily chemical flavor. Generally 210mg/kg in chewing gum; 32mg/kg in candy; 25mg/kg in baked goods; 11mg/kg in cold drinks.

Production method:

(1) solid acid catalytic method. 23.2g (0.4mol) propylene alcohol, 23.2g (0.2mol) caproic acid, 0.1g hydroquinone, 3.0g solid super strong TiO2/SO2-4 and 30mL toluene were added to a 150mL flask. When the reflux was heated for 1.5h, the water produced by the reaction was carried out by the azeotrope toluene. The reaction liquid is cooled and filtered, and the solid acid can be used repeatedly after drying. 0.1g cuprous chloride was added into the filtrate and then distilled, and 27.1g was collected at 186-188℃, that is, allyl caproate, refractive index n20d1.4241, yield 86.9%.

(2) sulfuric acid catalytic method. It was esterified by allyl alcohol and caproic acid under the catalysis of sulfuric acid. After the reaction, it was washed with water, then neutralized with 15% Na2CO3 solution, then washed with water until neutral, and then added anhydrous sodium carbonate or anhydrous calcium chloride for high drying dehydration. After filtration and vacuum distillation, allyl caproate was obtained.
