Summary:

Exemestane is an irreversible steroidal aromatase inhibitor with a structure similar to its substrate natural androstenedione. Estrogen deprivation by inhibiting aromatase is an effective and alternative treatment for hormone-dependent breast cancer in postmenopausal women with advanced breast cancer that has not progressed after tamoxifen therapy in natural or artificial postmenopausal women.

Uses:

It is an irreversible steroidal aromatase inactivator, which can inhibit estrogen synthesis and reduce the level of estrogen in blood circulation. It is suitable for advanced postmenopausal breast cancer patients who progress after tamoxifen treatment

Production method: Androstene-4-ene-3, 17-dione and triethyl orthoformate are dissolved in tetrahydrofuran and anhydrous ethanol, react in the presence of p-toluenesulfonic acid, and then add n-methylbenzene Chemicalbook amine and formaldehyde solution to continue the reaction.
